The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria observed that the failure by the Attorney General to take action against the Arewa youths has exposed what it called a systematic pro-north agenda as against the national security interest of Nigeria by the APC administration.
The position of HURIWA was contained in a statement by EMMANUEL ONWUBIKO in Abuja, in which the pro-democracy group aligned with the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo in criticizing the Justice Minister.
HURIWA further challenged the Minister of Justice to abide by his oath of office and stop pandering to the whims and caprices of northern regional interest as against national security interest.
