Abe says no crisis in Rivers APC.

Just like every other leader of the APC who have made comments on the recent developments within the party, especially on changes to the leadership structure at the local government level, Senator ABE insisted that there was no crisis in the party.

Senator MAGNUS ABE was speaking to the people of his Senatorial District when he returned yesterday to his home town of Bera community in Gokana Local Government Area.

The visit was the first since the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja affirmed his victory in the rerun election last December, following the challenge mounted by OLAKA NWORGU of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Senator ABE said it was not in dispute that former government and Minister of Transportation, ROTIMI AMAECHI, is leader of the APC in Rivers State, just as he had no personal grudge against the man he calls his personal friend and brother.

But like the Change slogan of the ruling party at the national level, the APC Senator insisted that the right thing must be done to sustain the trust of Nigerians.

Senator ABE noted that as the highest ranking member of the party in the National Assembly from the South-South and South-East geopolitical zones, he has no intention to leave the APC for any reason.

Senator ABE also dismissed the endorsement of Governor NYESOM WIKE for a second term, come 2019, by the PDP leadership in the four local government areas that make up Ogoni-land.
