A South African woman has been convicted of kidnapping a two-day-old baby back in 1997.The fifty-year-old woman, whose name is being kept a secret to protect the identity of the child, was arrested last year after suspicions were raised when there was a similar-looking girl at the child’s school.It took DNA tests to prove that the two girls were actually sisters.Thereafter; police accused the woman of snatching the child from a hospital in Cape Town, and fraudulently claimed to be the girl’s biological mother.
