Osibanjo’s visit to Port harcourt sparks reactions.

The respondents challenged the federal government to match words with actions on the issues of security and development in the state and the entire Niger Delta region.

The Paramount ruler of Apara Kingdom, EZE WORLU however noted that the venues and time for the meetings addressed by the Acting President could not allow all the ethnic nationalities to register their demands.

Eze WORLU said the inhabitants of the region have continued to suffer underdevelopment because of lack of Federal Government presence.

On his part, CHISOM GBALI from Oyigbo noted that the problem of the Niger Delta has never been about the people but the failure by government to address their needs.

Also speaking, CHINEDU ODIKE from Emohua expressed the hope that the intervention of the government would yield positive results in the region.

The visit by the Acting President to Rivers State is part of a fact-finding mission to selected Niger States, including Delta, Bayelsa and Imo states.
