Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has called on Nigerians to hold public office holders accountable for their actions and responsibilities to the people.
Governor Uzodinma made the call in Owerri during the 66th Independence Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, where he acknowledged the challenges facing the country.
He urged those entrusted with public offices to serve the people with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
The governor also called for greater unity, faith and patriotism among Nigerians, urging citizens to support efforts aimed at national development.
He further appealed to Nigerians to refrain from actions capable of undermining government policies and programmes, stressing the need for collective efforts towards the progress of the country.
