Rivers State Primary Healthcare Workers have called for the abolition of the law that establishes the Primary Health Care Management Board.

ATIEMIE said the board has abandoned its main focus of harmonizing salary-related issues and creation of better working conditions that would enhance productivity in the primary healthcare service delivery.
He accused the board of championing problems that have befallen primary health care workers as well as administrative high handedness.
ATIEMIE also rejected the outcome of a meeting between the REUBEN WOCHEONWU-led Medical and Health Care Workers Union and the Deputy Governor, IPALIBO BANIGO.
