INEC accuses politicians of encouraging multiple voter registration

Resident Electoral Commissioner, Obong Effanga, said this when Rivers Entrepreneurs and Investors Forum, visited him to encourage the commission to ensure the coming election in the state is devoid of hate speech

Effanga said the multiple registration slows down the registration process.

He also lamented that a lot of people still prefer to go to INEC offices for registration, which result to congestion at their offices.

He said  INEC has made it easy and possible for registrants to register at the comfort of their homes.
Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe reports that the Resident Electoral Commissioner also commended the forum for enlightening the public about the activities of political parties
