2026 W/Cup: Switzerland Team Warned of Snakes at US Training Camp

The Switzerland national team has been alerted to the presence of snakes around their training base in the United States as they step up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to details from the team’s official training map, the Swiss camp in San Diego features a designated “snake area” surrounding parts of the facility, where players and staff have been warned to exercise caution due to possible encounters with reptiles.

The Swiss Football Association highlighted the zone as part of safety measures at the camp, which is located at the San Diego Jewish Academy, ahead of their Group B fixtures at the tournament.

San Diego’s natural environment is known to host various wildlife, including rattlesnakes, prompting heightened awareness as teams adapt to conditions in the United States.

Switzerland will begin their World Cup campaign against Qatar on June 13, followed by matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada.
