The Presidency said this in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA.
ADESINA was reacting to the statement of the Director of Legal and Public Affairs of CAN, KWAMKUR SAMUEL alleging that the Presidency failed to pay ransom to rescue kidnapped Chibok girls because the majority of them are Christians.
ADESINA urged CAN to desist from disinformation which can further divide Nigerians, just as he recalled that President MUHAMMADU BUHARI made it clear in 2015 that if ransom needed to be paid to free the Chibok schoolgirls, he would pay.
CAN had claimed that the Presidency could not pay ransom to rescue Chibok girls because eighty to ninety percent of the kidnapped girls are Christians.
The Christian Association of Nigerian also said the administration of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is playing international politics with lives of Nigerian citizens.
