The Renewed Hope Women of Faith in Politics has urged Nigerians, particularly women, to secure and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with Rivers Women Unite for SIM, aims to build a nationwide network of women committed to advocacy, prayer, and active participation in governance.
Convener of the group, Sotonye Toby, emphasized that women can only exercise their franchise if they have their PVCs. She added that the movement provides a platform to promote peace, stability, and good governance through collective action.
Speaking at the event, Niger Delta activist Ann-Kio Briggs encouraged women to view prayer as a strong weapon in tackling societal challenges.
Additionally, a sermon delivered by Preye Ohare highlighted the importance of women drawing strength from God while actively contributing to national development.
