Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor are close to reaching an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the loan signing of Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare.
Reports indicate that negotiations between both clubs are in the final stages, with Wolves insisting that Trabzonspor cover the player’s full annual salary of €3.7 million as part of the proposed deal.
Trabzonspor have intensified their search for a new striker following the departure of Felipe Augusto to Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg.
The club is also preparing for the possible exit of fellow Nigeria international Paul Onuachu, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia after finishing last season among the Turkish Super Lig’s leading scorers.
Arokodare is expected to travel to Turkey early next week to complete the transfer once the remaining details of the agreement are finalised.
The 25-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk last summer and made 33 league appearances for the English club, scoring three goals and providing one assist during the campaign.
