Tinubu, Obi, Sowore and Others Sign 2027 National Peace Accord

President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, African Action Congress, AAC, candidate Omoyele Sowore, and Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, candidate Donald Duke are among political leaders who have signed the National Peace Accord ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The signing ceremony was held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja and attracted representatives of other presidential candidates, governorship and National Assembly contestants, as well as political party leaders and other stakeholders.

Also present were the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Joash Amupitan, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, chairmen of political parties and other senior political leaders. The accord is aimed at promoting peaceful and credible elections ahead of the 2027 polls.
