Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained that his approval of reforms to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is aimed at making the scheme more relevant to national development and the needs of young Nigerians.
The President said the reforms are designed to strengthen the NYSC programme by enhancing skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, community development and national integration.
He noted that the changes would better prepare corps members for the labour market while promoting self-reliance and increasing their contribution to the country’s socio-economic development.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving youth development initiatives and ensuring the NYSC remains a vital institution for nation-building.
