The sacked Chairman of ONELGA, AUSTIN AHIAMADU has said he was removed from office by Governor NYESOM WIKE because he had written to President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, requesting for military intervention to flush out criminals in the area.AHIAMADU said the claim by Governor WIKE and the Rivers State House of Assembly that he was incompetent in dealing with security challenge in the area was just an excuse to deceive the people.According to a statement released by his Press Secretary, AHIAMADU said it was the action he took that has helped to restore peace and security in ONELGA.He gave glory to God for the development, and thanked President BUHARI and the Minister of Transportation, CHIBUIKE AMAECHI for their support, leading to the military intervention in ONELGA.You will recall that AUSTIN AHIAMADU had some months left to complete his tenure of office as elected Chairman of ONELGA before he was removed by Governor NYESOM WIKE with the approval of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
