The President of the Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers, King GODWIN GININWA, has endorsed the faction of the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People led by MIKE NWUDOBIE.King GODWIN GINIWA also took a swipe at the LEGOSI PYAGBARA-led faction of MOSOP for not consulting traditional rulers of Ogoni before taking any decisions.The Paramount Ruler of Tai Kingdom made his position while performing the inauguration of the MIKE NWIDOBIE-led factional executive council of MOSOP.King GININWA also dismissed the thirty days ultimatum issued by MOSOP during the recent Ogoni Day celebration in Bori.He said the Federal Government has already started the process of implementing the UNEP report on the clean-up of Ogoni land
In his response, MIKE NWUDOBIE promised to work with all relevant organs in Ogoni land, including the traditional rulers, to drive economic growth in the area.Correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that other members of the Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers, KAGOTE, as well as women leaders and youth leaders were present at the event in Tai Local Government Area.
