The Nigerian Police High Command has dispatched a team of homicide personnel to Rivers State to carryout thorough investigations of the killings in parts of the state. Inspector General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE disclosed this while answering questions from newsmen on his arrival in Port Harcourt.
I.G.P ARASE said the Command Headquarters is aware of the increasing violence in the state adding that all is being done to quell the killings.
The Inspector General of Police said he was aware of the proliferation of firearms in Rivers State and other parts of the country.
