The Nigerian Military has ordered restriction of vehicular movements in Borno State, as part of measures to check terror attacks during the Eid-El-Kabir celebration. The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel TUKUR ISMAIL GUSAU, confirmed the restriction order to newsmen.
GUSAU said movement of vehicles and animals would be restricted from 5PM today till tomorrow.
He said all vehicles going in and out of Maiduguri town would also be restricted within the period till further notice. The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations said the decision was in line with the new resolve of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies involved in Operation Lafiya Dole to ensure the people of Borno State enjoy hitch-free Sallah celebrations.
