The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC continues its defence of the April 11 governorship election in Rivers state. INEC has until tomorrow to close its case in the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate, DAKUKU PETERSIDE, challenging the victory of Governor NYESOM WIKE of the People’s Democratic Party. At the last hearing; two serving members of the National Youth Service Corps who supervised elections in Tai and Akuku Toru Local Government Areas in Rivers State were cross-examined. JERRY NYIGWA and ADEYEMI SAHEED told the Tribunal under cross-examination that they carried out accreditation and affirmed that there was voting on the day of the election.
