A statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Olawale Rasheed, accused the All Progressives Congress of spreading what it described as deliberate falsehood and misinformation, after the state governor, Ademola Adeleke’s performance at a public engagement programme organised by the state government.
Adeleke explained that the two billion naira released for subsidy palliatives was being disbursed for food palliatives, transport services and refurbishment of health centres.
The Osun state governor had also explained that the seven billion naira federal refund was designated for infrastructure intervention, noting that the amount constituted less than 20 per cent of the total money the administration was committing to infrastructure upgrade.
