Nwonkwo, who spoke to Today FM’s Preye Izogu highlighted the dangerous conditions faced by traders in the market whenever petroleum tankers navigate the poorly maintained route.
Adding to the growing list of issues, Nwonkwo revealed that the state of the road caused a severe disruption today morning as more than forty school buses were stranded for hours.
He stressed that the road’s rehabilitation is crucial for fostering economic growth and improving the quality of life for the local community.
Nwonkwo who is the Caretaker Chairman of movement for liberation of Ikwerre People appealed to the Rivers state government and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to urgently address the dire situation.
