The deportees, including twenty-one men and two women, were handed over to the Lagos Airport Command of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Command spokesman, JOSEPH ALABI, who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed the development to newsmen.
ALABI said officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, were also on hand to receive the deportees.
