Several people have reportedly been killed following an early morning attack on Sai Community in Mbajir Council Ward of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
Residents said the attackers stormed the community in the early hours, opening fire on villagers and causing panic as many fled for safety.
The exact number of casualties has yet to be confirmed, while several others were reportedly injured during the attack.
Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident as efforts continue to restore calm and determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
