The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan who briefed newsmen at the command headquarters at Moscow road said Bisola Paulette Ajayi was rescued alongside a member of British High Commission identified as Paul Nyulaku.
CP Mukan said the success of the operation was made possible by Operatives of the Anti-Kidnap Unit of the command led by David Shadeda, adding that the victims were rescued without paying any ransom in a forest in Etche Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner disclosed that the watchman for the kidnappers, one Chinedu Chigbu was arrested with another member of the gang fatally wounded during exchange of fire and was Confirmed dead at the hospital just as he urged residents of Etche to report anyone with bullet wound.
