The Paramount Ruler of the ancient Eberi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, King Bar Onyekachi Amaonuwu who made the appeal, when the Oyigbo Area Commander visited his Palace, stressed that the establishment of a Police Station in the area would enhance peace and accelerate development of the area.
King Amaonuwu pleaded with the Police to consider Omuma children who applied for the ongoing Police recruitment exercise, which he said would further entrench tranquility of Omuma Local Government.
In his response, the Oyigbo Area Commander of the Nigerian Police Force, ACP Collins Rosemary said the visit was to synergize with the Traditional Rulers as directed by the Inspector General of Police in relation to the policy of community policing.
ACP Rosemary however solicited for the co-operation of the Traditional Ruler, requesting that all hands should on deck to combat crime and criminality in Eberi-Omuma and its environs.
