The disagreement between the factions of IPMAN had led to a stoppage of loading of petroleum products at the private depots in the state.
The informed the Permanent Secretary of the Rivers state ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to call a meeting of the marketers.
Speaking after the meeting, the factional National Public Relations Officer of IPMAN, Chinedu Ukadike, assured that loading of products will resume in the next few days in the various private depots.
Ukadike, in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, added that the Permanent Secretary of the Rivers state Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has given a directive that persons who have no business in the depots be arrested.
In the meantime; Today FM reports that queues are beginning to resurface in parts of the Port Harcourt metropolis, with some petrol stations selling between one hundred and eighty and one hundred ninety naira per liter.
