Rivers State Government disown security guards of model primary schools.

The Commissioner of Education, Professor KANIYE EBEKU said government no longer needs the services of the guards who were contracted by Pentagon Company.

Professor EBEKU, who came out with the government position after monitoring the resumption of schools today, directed security guards to vacate the school premises of the model schools.

The Education Commissioner said the state government was making alternative arrangement to secure the model school.

In his reaction; the Chairman of the security guards, JOHNSON ASOBINONWO said they have secured consent of their head office to remain at the model schools until an agreement is reached with the Rivers State government.
