Rivers NULGE President Charges New Branch Executives on Workers’ Welfare

The President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Rivers State, Evangelist Anthony Lenyie, has urged newly elected branch executives in Gokana and Omuma Local Government Areas to remain committed to the welfare of members and uphold the ideals of the union.

Lenyie gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony of the branch chairmen and their executive members, following their election on Friday, July 31.

The NULGE President encouraged the new leaders to provide effective representation for workers and discharge their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

Administering the oath of office, the State Secretary of NULGE, Dr. Sunday Adeniran, called on the executives to work in unity and in accordance with the union’s constitution.

Also speaking, the State Deputy President of NULGE, Daniel Obianime, emphasized the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and unity in addressing issues affecting members.

Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, the Chairman of NULGE in Omuma Local Government Area, Dimkpa Okere, assured members that he and his Gokana counterpart, Pastor Barida Baravil, would provide purposeful leadership, protect the interests of workers, and uphold the values and principles of the union.
