The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has extended an invitation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara to consider joining its fold when he resumes office after his suspension.
Spokesperson of the party in the state, Darlington Nwauju, said the APC is prepared to welcome the governor should he decide to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Nwauju noted that Fubara would automatically assume the position of party leader in Rivers State if he switches allegiance, describing such a move as a major political boost.
The APC’s overture comes amid growing political realignments in the state as Fubara prepares to return to office.
