On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu met with Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, and former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, during the installation service of Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican in Rome.
A statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga revealed that Fayemi identified Obi at the event and invited him to join him in paying homage to President Tinubu. Obi accepted the invitation, and the three political figures briefly interacted during the occasion. The meeting highlights ongoing engagements among Nigerian leaders and political figures amidst the Vatican ceremony.
