The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of suspected armed robbers linked to a series of tricycle thefts in Port Harcourt. 🚔
Police spokesperson in the state, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the suspects were apprehended after a tricycle operator lodged an official complaint following a robbery incident.
She disclosed that operatives recovered the stolen tricycle and arrested three suspects in connection with the crime. According to Iringe-Koko, the suspects confessed during interrogation and identified other members of the gang.
Meanwhile, the command also said it has commenced investigation into the killing of Mina Orupabo, the Chief Executive Officer of Special Bensington’s Ushers.
Orupabo was allegedly gunned down by suspected assailants last Thursday in Port Harcourt.
Iringe-Koko stated that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for a thorough investigation, adding that efforts are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
