The widow of the slain Commander of the Organized Security Peace and Advisory Committee (OSPAC) in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Choice Wokocha, has called on security agencies and relevant authorities to ensure justice for her late husband.
Speaking in an interview with Today FM, Mrs. Wokocha said her husband, Ozoemela Stephen Wokocha, left home in search of his daily livelihood but never returned after he was shot dead alongside three other people on Oba Road in Omoku.
She appealed to security agencies to apprehend those responsible for the killings and ensure they are brought to justice.
Meanwhile, the Commander-General of OSPAC, Emeka Onyeocha, has assured residents of ONELGA of their safety, warning criminal elements to stay away from the area. He said security would be strengthened across the local government, particularly as the political season approaches.
The Rivers State Police Command also confirmed the killing of four people, describing the incident as a threat to the relative peace in the state. The command urged community-based security groups and local vigilante outfits to work closely with the police under the supervision of their respective Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders.
