Today FM gathered that Nuhu, a popular scavenger suspected to have been intoxicated with hard drugs, ran away with the Ak47 riffle he snatched from the security personnel towards Mile 4 Diobu area where he shut indiscriminately resulting to the killing of man.
Today FM’s source disclosed that Police from different units and tactical teams arrived the scene after Nuhu had shot his victim dead.
He engaged the Police officers in a shootout, but was neutralized by the Police, while the Ak47 riffle was retrieved by the security operatives.
It was also gathered that before Nuhu snatched the Ak47 riffle from the officer, he was seen chasing other individuals from his ethnic group with a dagger.
The Rivers State Police Command through its Public Relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident, but said the details are sketchy as at press time.
