Officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources are expected to meet with Depot owners in Rivers State and other stakeholders to find a solution to the lingering fuel scarcity in the state.
This was part of resolutions reached at a meeting between officials of the DPR and the Rivers state chapter of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria.
After the meeting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Chairman of IPMAN, SUNNY NKPE assured that the scarcity of fuel will soon be over.
NKPE told correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA that the current fuel scarcity was caused by the non-payment of subsidy owed marketers.
He also assured that filling stations in the state are willing to resume the sale of petroleum products once a common ground is reached with the DPR.
SUNNY NKPE is the Rivers State Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria.
