Search and rescue operations have entered the third day at the site of the collapsed five-storey building along Odili Road in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, as emergency responders continue efforts to locate victims trapped beneath the rubble.
Rescue workers, alongside other relevant agencies, are clearing debris in the ongoing operation. So far, four persons have been rescued alive, while one death has been confirmed.
The rescued victims are receiving treatment at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH). Authorities say the exact number of people still trapped beneath the rubble has not yet been officially confirmed.
