Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, has criticised an open letter from some stakeholders in Rivers State opposing the planned August 30 local government elections.
Nwuche, who is also Chairman of the South South Development Commission, said the arguments raised by the stakeholders had been rendered invalid by a gazette issued by President Bola Tinubu.
He commended political parties that have fielded candidates for the elections, praising their commitment to the democratic process.
