The Acting Deputy Commandant General in charges of Operations, HILLARY KELECHI MADU, has also been ordered to temporarily relocate to Edo State for the election on 9th September.
The Commandant General of NSCDC, ABDULLAHI GANA MUHAMMADU, ordered that the deployment of the personnel should be done with immediate effect.
MUHAMMADU said the Acting DCG is to be assisted by two Assistant Commandant Generals in Charge Zone G in Benin and Zone E in Owerri, as well as five Commandants drawn from the neighbouring states of Kogi, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa and Anambra.
He charged the NDCDC personnel to work together with other sister security agencies to ensure peaceful conduct of the Edo State governorship election.
The NSCDC Commandant General warned that any personnel caught involving in any act of misconduct would be dealt with in accordance to the law of the land and ethics of the service.
He reminded politicians in Edo State that victory in election was not a do or die affair, but from God alone.
Meanwhile; Specialized Units of NSCDC would also be on duty in Edo State during the period of the election to protect critical infrastructure and national assets in the area.
