Brazil have been knocked out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Norway in their Round of 16 clash.
Erling Haaland scored twice in the closing stages of the match to send Norway into the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in the nation’s history. Brazil had earlier missed a first-half penalty through Bruno Guimarães before Neymar converted a stoppage-time spot-kick, but it was not enough to prevent elimination.
Norway will now face England in the quarter-finals after the Three Lions also secured victory in their Round of 16 encounter.
