Nigeria’s crude oil output now one point nine million barrels per day. – Kachikwu

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, IBE KACHIKWU, said Nigeria’s crude oil output has now risen to around one point nine million barrels per day.

Nigeria’s crude oil output had dropped to as low as around nine hundred thousand barrels per day, due to the activities of vandals and militants in the Niger Delta.

KACHIKWU noted that despite the improvement; the current production level remains a far cry from the two point two million barrels per day benchmark in the 2016 budget.

The Minister made the disclosures during the inaugural meeting of the National Council for Hydrocarbon in Abuja.
