The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) has officially awarded Nigeria the hosting rights for the second edition of the African School Games.
The announcement was made by ANOCA President, Mustapha Berraf, in a statement addressed to Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC). The decision was reached during the Extraordinary Meeting of the ANOCA Executive Committee.
“We are pleased to officially award the hosting rights for the 2nd African School Games to Nigeria,” the statement read, marking a significant milestone for the country’s sports development at the youth level.
The African School Games aim to promote sports, education, and unity among young athletes across the continent.
