Nasarawa shuts schools over security threats

In a statement signed by the state commissioner for education, FATU SABO, the governor, Abdullahi Sule directed an immediate closure of both public and private secondary schools in the state.

In a statement, the commissioner explained that the closure of schools was informed by the recurring incidences of security breaches and threats in parts of the country including some neighboring states.

The Commissioner said the directive is a precautionary measure.
