LPPC Elevates 57 Legal Practitioners to Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has approved the elevation of 57 legal practitioners to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). The decision was made at the committee’s 169th plenary session held in Abuja, under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

Out of the approved elevations, 56 were in the advocate category, while one practitioner was honoured under the academic category. Notably, only two female legal practitioners were conferred with the SAN rank this year: Oyinkan Badejo-Okusanya, who chairs the Nigerian Bar Association’s 2024 Annual General Conference Planning Committee, and Chinyere Ekene Moneme.

The latest appointments continue to reflect the LPPC’s commitment to recognizing excellence and contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria.
