Judges in Rivers State are set to return to work today following an Easter vacation that began on April 14th. The break was approved by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Simoen Chibuzor-Amadi.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, David Ihua-Maduenyi, confirmed that all judges will resume their duties at the court today. He assured the public that normal court sittings will effectively resume, allowing for the continuation of legal proceedings and the fair administration of justice in the state.
The return of the judges marks an important step towards ensuring that judicial services are restored to full capacity after the holiday period. Members of the public are encouraged to attend court sessions as the legal system resumes its functions.
