The Commissioner in charge of Quality Assurance in the Universal Basic Education Board, WILLIAM NZIDE ordered the evacuation of the occupants during an inspection tour of schools around Emohua.
NZIDE who spoke in an interview with our correspondent said the directive is meant to enhance the security of pupils and teachers to enable them work and learn in an environment that is conducive.
He also further disclosed that investigation by the UBE Board indicates that some teachers in public schools were being made to teach subjects outside their specialisation.
The UBE Board also called for partnership of host communities with the state government on ongoing rehabilitation of primary schools.
In his response, the Caretaker Chairman of Emohua Local Government council, GODPOWER NWOKAH, vowed that those who encroached on school property would be dealt with as part of measures to enhance security.
