The event saw Hollywood musical “La La Land” setting a new record for the most wins, clinching seven prizes in all categories it was nominated.
These include best musical or comedy film and acting trophies for EMMA STONE and RYAN GOSLING.
“La La Land” also won the awards for best director, screenplay, score and song.
“Moonlight” was named best drama film, while CASEY AFFLECK and ISABELLE HUPPERT won other acting prizes.
The Globes Awards are seen as indications of what to expect at the Oscars.
