Former Enyimba FC assistant coach Yemi Olanrewaju believes defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has the potential to form a formidable partnership with Benjamin Fredrick and Calvin Bassey in the defence of Super Eagles. Olanrewaju said Nwaiwu’s physical attributes and understanding of the game could be a major asset for the national side.
He further stated that Nwaiwu’s European club experience has equipped him with tactical nous that can benefit the Eagles, especially in high-pressure matches. The coach believes that if utilised properly, the trio could provide the stability needed at the back as Nigeria prepares for upcoming international fixtures.
