DStv says 12 Warner Bros. Discovery channels may be removed from its platform on January 1, 2026, if a new distribution agreement is not reached. The current deal between MultiChoice and Warner Bros. Discovery expires on December 31, 2025.
Channels that may be cut include: Discovery Channel, CNN International, TLC, Discovery Family, Real Time, TNT Africa, Food Network, HGTV, Investigation Discovery, Cartoon Network, Cartoonito and Travel Channel.
MultiChoice says it is working to secure fresh content and new channels for 2026 but warns that the affected stations will go off-air if negotiations fail. Subscribers are advised to stay alert for further updates.
