The Chairman of the Commercial Drivers Welfare Association, Ikwerre Road Unit, Agbakaekwu Chibueze, has raised concerns over the alleged forceful seizure of one of the association’s vehicles by suspected touts at the Rumuokoro area of Port Harcourt.
He alleged that one of the association’s drivers was unlawfully detained before the vehicle was taken away under unclear circumstances.
The association called on the Rivers State Government and security agencies to investigate the activities of suspected touts across the state, warning that the situation could worsen if urgent action is not taken.
