.Brazil’s chief prosecutor said President TEMER received money from the boss of a giant meatpacking firm who was implicated in a corruption scandal.
Reports say the move follows the release of an audio recording in which TEMER appears to be discussing bribes in conversation with JOESLEY BATISTA.
The charges have been delivered to a Supreme Court judge who must now decide if the case can be sent to the lower house of parliament, while President TEMER has denied any wrongdoing.
You will recall that TEMER assumed office as President of Brazil on the strength of corruption allegations that led to the removal of his predecessor, DILMA ROUSEFF.
