All Internally Displaced Persons camps in Adamawa State are to be closed down by the end of December this year. This was made known by the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency which is working in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency.
Executive Secretary of the state emergency management agency, HARUNA FURO, told newsmen in Yola that the decision followed recent massive evacuation of IDPs by Borno State Government back to their homes.
He said the agencies were acting in compliance with the dateline given to the Nigerian Army to end Boko Haram insurgency by December.
