The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress in Rivers State, Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, has charged the party’s 23 newly elected Local Government Chairmen to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a strategic meeting at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt, Dimkpa urged the chairmen to strengthen party structures, promote unity among members, and build effective political networks across the state.
He emphasized the importance of dedication, hard work, and strong leadership at the local government level.
According to him, the success of the party in the 2027 elections will depend largely on the strength of its grassroots structures and the ability of local leaders to effectively mobilise the people.
Some members of the state executive committee were present at the meeting.
